IV Therapy

IV (intravenous) therapy is a medical treatment in which medications, nutrients, and other substances are delivered directly into a patient’s bloodstream through a vein. The therapy is administered in our clinic by one of our licensed healthcare professionals.

During the procedure, our practitioner will locate a suitable vein, usually in the arm, and clean the area with an antiseptic solution. A needle is then inserted into the vein and secured in place with tape or a dressing. The IV solution is then slowly infused into the bloodstream through the needle.

IV therapy can be used to deliver a wide range of substances, including medications, vitamins, minerals, and fluids. Some common reasons for IV therapy include:

  1. Dehydration: IV fluids can be used to quickly hydrate the body in cases of severe dehydration.
  2. Nutrient deficiencies: IV vitamins and minerals can be used to replenish deficiencies and improve overall health.
  3. Migraines: IV medications can be used to quickly relieve the symptoms of migraines.
  4. Fatigue: IV vitamins and minerals can be used to boost energy levels and alleviate fatigue.
  5. Illness: IV medications can be used to treat a variety of illnesses, including infections and autoimmune disorders.

IV therapy is considered safe when performed by a licensed healthcare professional and can offer many benefits, including faster and more effective treatment, improved hydration, and improved overall health. It’s important to discuss the benefits and risks of IV therapy with a healthcare provider before undergoing the procedure.
